Our Story

The story of Currumbin Cookies had its humble beginnings in 2020 when founder Troy Tregellas made a life-changing decision to leave the corporate world behind and rekindle his lifelong passion for baking.

His formative years were spent in Canada, where he developed a deep appreciation for the Canadian style of thick, crunchy on the outside and soft inside cookies that were a beloved tradition in his adopted homeland.  In 2013 Troy & family decided to call Gold Coast home . Troy began offering his handmade Canadian style sourdough cookies at local markets across the Gold Coast."We realized there wasn't anyone offering the kind of thick, crunchy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside style of cookies we grew up with in Canada. I missed them so much, and I wanted to share that with my kids and the Gold Coast community!"

Currumbin Cookies are known for our unique sourdough base and a commitment to sourcing the best quality, sustainable local ingredients. Our sourdough cookie base rest for a minimum of 18-24 hours before baking, this gives our cookies a unique texture & flavour unlike any other cookies you've ever tasted!  This patience and dedication to quality has cultivated a devoted following among food enthusiasts across the Gold Coast. You can savour our delicious cookies in numerous fine cafes and discover them at our local markets, including Palm Beach Farmers Market, The Village Markets, Hota market and Burleigh Markets.
